Oak Orangeries

A Unique Oak Orangery of distinction!

Join that exclusive group of home owners who share the distinction of owning a unique oak orangery, which will have your visitors exclaim, “Wow, where did you get this from?” We at Richmond Oak are proud to be the No 1 supplier and reknowned for the use of seasoned oak in the construction of our orangeries.

The use of oak enables an oak orangery to last a lifetime; the inside can be given a gorgeously warm furniture finish, while the can be painted to blend with your existing architecture. We are one of few companies who design orangeries with a different colour on the outside and the inside. Our oak orangeries often feature a paint finish on the outside to compliment the colour of the house coupled with the natural honey oak interior, featuring the natural, unique grain effect of the seasoned oak.

Which? Trusted Trader

Weather Resistant

We can also provide weather resistant translucent stained oak finishes to the exterior, so that you can enjoy the natural grain of the oak. If you wish to create the weathered effect of aged ‘green oak’ without the inherent glazing problems of that material, then we can provide a special oil finished exterior which, over a number of years will become silver-grey in colour. Other companies try to emulate oak by staining lighter, cheaper hardwoods to an oak colour, but it’s impossible to capture the colour or unique medullary ray effect of the oak grain.

Hardwood Orangeries

Oak Orangeries make up the majority of our orangery production, but we do also get asked to build hardwood orangeries from alternative timbers. This will usually be because the design calls for a painted interior and exterior, so a hardwood orangery is the perfect solution and saves us having to hide the oak we love so much under a coat of paint! We can finish your orangery in any of the British Standard or RAL colours.
